From September 20 to 21, KMU ACE Festival was held at Bauer Hall. ACE (Advancement for College Education) is supported by the Education Ministry to help education become competitive and develop. The purpose of the festival, which was organized by the Center for Teaching & Learning, was to announce and evaluate the educational outcomes of the ACE project.
On the first day, students who had participated in ACE programs such as K-Circle, overseas volunteering, and student exchange programs presented their experiences in the programs. Then students who are preparing to enter the workforce received 1:1 image consulting. There was also a “KMU Challenge Yourself” program in which students take challenges, for example, TOEIC, certificates, and travel.
On the second day, there was a youth mentor seminar by Kim Tae-won, who is well known as “young Googler.” More students assembled than the number of persons to be admitted to hear the special lecture. About 10 students chosen through a lottery had a conversation with Kim Tae-won in Hanhak-chon. Then, “Elevator Pitch Contest,” in which students suggested fresh ideas to develop and strengthen college education and advance undergraduate education, was held. Elevator Pitch is a technique for presenting business plans during a short period of time.
The KMU ACE Festival was a success because of many students’ interest and participation.
