Vladimir Ivanovich Ilyukhin, a governor of Kamchatka (Russia) visited Keimyung University to give a speech on April 5. His speech was held in the Hengso Museum on the Seongseo campus of Keimyung University. About 250 people, including Keimyung University President Shin and students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, attended his special speech.

At the start of the speech, he said that he had a good impression from Korea. Because his state is near the Korean peninsula, he has always thought that Korea is a very close friend of them. In his speech, he emphasized the economic cooperation between Korea and Russia.

He insisted that Korea and Russia can grow together economically if the two countries help each other. Also, he said that the undeveloped natural resources in Kamchatka state will be helpful for cooperation.

He was also deeply impressed by the advanced medical system in Korea. He hoped to build a Korean medical center in Kamchatka state to offer the best medical services to Russians. In addition, he put his hope on Korea to come to his state and help their medical teams to improve their service and systems.
