The 3rd Asia-Pacific International Chopin Piano Competition was held at Keimyung Art Center on May 21. Keimyung University, the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute organized the Asia-Pacific International Chopin Piano Competition.
The competition was held to find and develop excellent young pianists from all over the world. The winner of the senior section was Kate Jin Liu of the USA (21), and the winner of the junior section was Seon Yul of South Korea (16).
Judge Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron said, “The competition was wonderful. The young pianists have intense talent. It was an enjoyable experience.”
