THE WORLD AND GOD

본 강좌는 세계에서 하나님을 이해하기 위한 하나의 탐험으로서 신의 존재와 본성에 대하여 답을 하기 위해 노력한다. 또한 성서적 관점과 역사적 관점, 신학적 관점에서 하나님을 이해하기 위하여 집중하고 한다. 나아가 세계종교, 예술가, 철학자, 과학자 등 기독교 밖에서의 관점에 주목한다. 하나님의 존재를 반대하는 논쟁에 대해서도 평가 할 것이다.

This course aims to educate students about a major religious and cultural theme. It seeks to answer the most common questions about God, and to show the difficulty of speaking about God. It introduces students to different notions about God and to the debates about God. By the end of the course, students will be in a much better position to talk about the concept of God. They should know the different ways God is understood, and they should be able to explain why ideas about God divide people.

Exams: based on the PPTs; mostly multiple choice; some fill in blanks; no essay questions Assigment(s): answer questions based on a short reading Attendance: includes participation; 1 point deduction for every class missed (3 lates or left earlies is equel to 1 class);students who miss more than 1/3 of classes will receive an automatic F grade
