FTA AREA STUDY(2)

'FTA 지역연구Ⅱ'과목은 특성화과정 1-2학년 학부생이 관련 기초과목을 수강한 후 기초과목에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 지역경제, 산업 등을 분석함에 있어 포괄적 이해를 돕고 이를 FTA와 관련된 국가에 적용시킬 수 있는 방법을 터득하여 특성화과정 참여 학생들의 자율적 심화학습을 유도하고자 함.

After the semester, the students will be able to: 1) Understand the major models of international trade and compare and contrast them. 2) Understand the principle of comparative advantage, including its formal expression. 3) Analyze the linkages between trade, labor and capital movements, international fragmentation of production, economic well-being and the income distribution and to identify and critically examine policy implications of these linkages. 4) Apply equilibrium models to analyze the economic effects of policy interventions including tariffs, quotas, export subsidies, anti-dumping duties, countervailing duties and the creation of preferential trading agreements. 5) Critically analyze these policy interventions in terms of their costs and benefits, including their implications for economic well-being, performance and competitiveness. 6) Understand major recent developments in the world trading system and comment critically on their effects on individual economies and on the wider international community

The Keimyung university academic and ethical aspects of policy will govern the entire classroom management particularly with attendance, submission of requirements, dishonesty, integrity and competitive advancement. Students are encourage to attend a scheduled academic counselling at least 5% of total semesters attendance for building rapport and follow-up query on related subjects. However students are welcome to come at my office for further purposes.

Students will be required to submit their case studies, reaction papers and action plan according to scheduled topic.

This subject would be beneficial students for it will provide relevant information on the international trade law and regional trade agreements. This would help them open their understanding on the international ruling of business which leads them to appreciate the consumption of their own countries and motivate them to pursue career in international business.
