- Course Description
이 교과목은 문학사적으로 중요한 가치를 지니거나 중등학교 교육에서 중요하게 다루어지는 고전문학 작가를 대상으로 하여 대표 작품을 읽고 문학세계를 이해하는 활동을 중심으로 한다. 이를 통해 고전문학사의 주요 작가의 사상과 작품에 대한 실제적인 이해를 도모하고, 문학교육에 필요한 지식을 넓히는 것을 목적으로 한다.
- Course Objectives
After completion of this course students will be able:
to understand the features of each period of premodern literature.
to read and analyze the most important texts, and understand them from historical contexts and literary traditions.
to read and understand articles introducing premodern authors and their works in English.
to express their thoughts of literature, authors and texts both orally and in writing.
to participate in discussions and to write short compositions on related topics in English.

- Practical application of the course
Knowledge of premodern authors and literary works will be useful for taking other related courses. Ability to analyze literary texts, to compose essays in Korean and English might be used in further study and work.
