FOOD AND NUTRITION ENGLISH(1)

  1. Course Description
    식품영양학을 전공하는데 필요한 전공 관련 영어를 학습한다. 식품 및 영양학 관련 전공 영어의 회화를 비롯하여 작문하는 법을 배운다. 매주 전공 관련 주제를 선정하여 이에 대하여 영어로 토론하고 그 결과를 보고서로 제출하도록 하여 수강자의 전공 영어 실력을 향상시키도록 한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    At the end of the class, the students must be able to:
    -Build confidence in Food and Nutrition English
    -Improve upon previously learned skills
    -Encourage interest in the subject matter
    -Provide an environment in which all students feel comfortable to express their ideas
    -Students should feel more comfortable and at ease communicating in English.
  3. Teachnig Method
    Students are highly encouraged to :
    Participate in question and answer sessions during the lectures
    Read class notes before the lecture
    Never use cell phones during exams

  7. Practical application of the course
    Students will be more comfortable with terminology used in food and nutrition and read scientific papers related to their field. They can increase their employment opportunities as well as their general satisfaction in life if they ever have to travel for their work.
