MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION

  1. Course Description
    이 강좌는 다문화교육 분야에 대한 현대적 쟁점에 대한 통찰과 안목을 제공한다. 학생들은 문화가 어떻게 교육에 역할을 하며 교육에 대한 다문화적 접근에 대한 역사, 이론 및 응용을 탐구한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    By the end of this course, students will be able to: - Examine the sociopolitical forces that shape education in Korea and abroad, particularly related to multiculturalism; - Explore the educational and social issues that confront Daegu and broader Korean communities regarding race, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, gender, sexuality, and disability; - Assess contemporary debates regarding multiculturalism and diversity in education; - Explore personal identities in relation to larger society; - Prepare pedagogical responses that are sensitive to multiculturalism.
