GENOMICS AND PROTEOMICS

  1. Course Description
    of Genetics in contemporary society. Given the overview of this course, students are expected to develop general knowledge and appreciation for use in class and the real world. It is hoped that the knowledge obtained from this course is used productively either in the applied sense or in making career decisions. As such, this course aims that students develop reasonable communication skills in English. This course aims to provide an overview of the concepts basic to Genomics and Proteomics. The student is responsible for assignments (such as designated papers from the scientific literature) that add to the material. In order to enhance appreciation of the course, the student is encouraged or maybe assigned to seek out related materials that are available such as scientific journals, newspapers, magazines and other sources that relate to course topics.
