PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & EVALUATION FOR HEALTH PROMOTION

  1. Course Description
    보건관련전문가들이 보건교육을 효과적으로 하기 위해 보건교육중재모형을 개발하고 대상 집단별로 효과적인 보건교육전략을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 개발된 중재모형을 실제로 시행함으로써 보건교육의 효과를 측정하고 평가하도록 한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    By the end of the course students will be able to: a) Describe the basic elements of program planning in health promotion: needs assessment, setting goals, objectives, activities, timeline, budget, and evaluation. b). Identify barriers to successful planning, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion programs. c). Identify methods for overcoming barriers to planning, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion programs. d). Demonstrate the ability to develop, implement, and evaluate public health promotion and evaluation programs.

  7. Practical application of the course
    This course identifies population-based needs for public health intervention, development of programs to meet those needs. It also includes implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of public health interventions. The course incorporates several knowledge and skill areas including research methods, epidemiology, biostatistics, proposal writing, budget planning, project management, and program evaluation. It is designed to give a solid background to students to undertake health promotion project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
