Course Description
This course focuses on building reading skills through an analysis that covers using the context for meaning by identifying synonyms and word families, recognizing how punctuation is used in texts, looking for clues using cause and effect or contrast connecting words, studying how material is presented and organized within a text, identifying topic sentences and main ideas, and recognizing how general ideas become more specific.
