영어교육 및 다양한 학문분야의 자료를 영어로 읽을 수 있는 이해력 배양과 분석 , 종합, 토론할 수 있는 능력을 기르는데 목표를 둔다. 영어읽기의 다양한 전략과 읽기 방법에 대한 연습을 하도록하여 영어 독해력을 향상시킨다.
- Course Objectives
After completing this class, students will be able to
• read academic texts in English.
• extract relevant information from those texts.
• work collaboratively to gain a deeper understanding of the texts.
• read quickly and use a number of reading strategies.
• manage their own vocabulary learning.
- Teachnig Method
Students must attend all at least 70% of classes to receive any credit for the class.
Students must turn in all assignments on the day they are due.
Students must take all in class quizzes and tests in order to pass the class.

This course will involve reading a number of authentic texts in English and listening to lectures in English. Any
students enrolled in this class should be able to accomplish both of these things at at least a very basic level.

This course will prepare students for reading any text in English and reading academic texts in particular.
