생태계의 기초 원리와 인간환경체계,구성요소간의 상호작용 및 영향을 이해하고, 특히 도시성장과 산업화에 따른 도시의 환경보존과 환경오염방지를 위한 도시계획적 차원에서의 계획설계기법을 배운다.
- Course Objectives
- Understand the global environmental situation we are living in.
- Learn and understand the environmental approach to urban planning and design.
- Be able to adapt design solutions seen in class to future design projects.
- Teachnig Method
- 16 weeks of classes (Wed 13:30 - 15:00 / Fri 16:30 - 18:00).
- Lectures, class discussion and video presentation are part of the teaching process.
- Discussions and questions/answers with the students to improve the understanding of the lecture content.

- Attend and actively participate during class.

- Understand the Earth's environmental situation and the importance of sustainability in urban projects.
- Be able to analyze projects and understand/critic their environmental value.
- Use design solutions seen in class for future design projects in professional offices.
- Understand international projects' environmental techniques/design answers to similar issues seen in Korea and develop creative/adapted answers to the Korean context.
