  1. Course Description
    방대한 무역 관련 정보를 효과적으로 관리하고 처리하기 위해서는 대규모의 자료에 대한 저장과 관리를 담당하는 데이터베이스 기술이 필수적이다. 이에 본 강의는 데이터베이스의 구조와 작동원리는 물론 데이터베이스를 설계하고 구축하기 위한 데이터베이스 설계 기법과 운용 원리를 이해하며 실제로 데이터베이스 관리 시스템을 이용하여 무역 실무와 관련된 데이터베이스를 설계, 구축, 운용하는 실습 과정을 경험하는 것을 그 목표로 한다. 특히, 무역 정보를 관리하는 무역 정보 데이터베이스 설계 및 운용에서의 특징에 관한 내용 이해에 중점을 둔다. 또한, 방대한 정보를 이용한 효과적인 의사결정 과정을 이해하고 다양한 의사결정 과정에서 요구되는 기법들을 학습하며 복잡한 환경에서 독창적인 의사결정을 할 수 있는 능력을 함양한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    The birth of the Web spawned a rash of business opportunities. However, the subsequent dot-com melt down cast a gloom over e-commerce, at least in the popular press. Despite the failure of many dotcoms, the growth of the Internet, Web, B2C, and B2B commerce have mostly exceeded initial expectations. How do we take advantage of the Web technologies? In this course, we address these issues. We begin with a strategic analysis of what is changing at the industry level.Then we consider digital products, e-tailing, business-to-business commerce and supply chain management. Finally, we complete this course by examining Internet strategies of today and tomorrow. Course goals will be accomplished through lectures, homework, readings, case studies, and group project. We will follow the textbook in order to cover basic concepts. You are expected t become familiar with the INTERNET and use it to find materials to respond to some of the class assignments. Later, during the course, some of this information will be used to introduce and discuss the theory that explains the enormous power of “e-Economy”.

    1. Respect self, others and learning environment. 2. Utilize time efficiently and stay on task. 3. Learn and be open to new learning. 4. Every day is a new day; don’t dwell on past mistakes. 5. Be responsible.- *It is up to you to get missed work and notes. * I will not chase after you to get missed tests or to make corrections. * Bring paper, pencils, erasers, etc. to every class. 6. Don't be absent more than 3 times without prior notice . 1 absent is OK, 3 absents is not OK. 7. Don't be late for class. 1 late is fine ,however more than 2 late will be consider 1 absent. 4 late will consider 2 absences. 8. Avoid using Cell phone or make-up in the class.

    Must be good at English as the whole course will be taught in English. There is no space for Korean language. So make sure you are good enough to read /write and speak well. If your IELTS score is at least 5.5 or above then you may take this course.
