- Course Description
기초적인 회화를 바탕으로 자신에 대한 소개와 일상생활에서 접하는 다양한 상황에 대한 설명을 영어로 표현하는 연습을 한다.
- Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
- communicate in English in a variety of situations commonly encountered in conversation.
-gain high levels of confidence in speaking English.
-understand Western culture by comparing their native Korean culture.
- Teachnig Method
This course is intended to induce students to participate in the class as actively as possible. Although the course is led by the instructor, they will have a good chance to design their own learning style while they are studying. Vocabulary preview and additional activities (pair-or small-group) may be assigned for them to improve their efficiency in communication.

- Assessment
: Any student who misses a test or quiz will receive a score of zero(0). No makeup tests or quizzes they have missed!
- Requiments
1) If a student misses more than 1/3 classes, he will get an "F". (Missing 1 class, losing 3 points)
2) Being late for class three times equals one absence.
3) All the reports should be submitted on the given due date. Otherwise, students will have a losing point or points.
4) Absence due to family emergency, illness, academic activities demanded by your department or college must be verified with an original paper.

This course can be a prerequisite for more advanced courses and help improve language skills for real-life communication situations.
