ELEMENTARY ENGLISH CONVERSATION

  1. Course Description
    기초적인 회화를 바탕으로 자신에 대한 소개와 일상생활에서 접하는 다양한 상황에 대한 설명을 영어로 표현하는 연습을 한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    Equipping students with practical, marketable language English speaking skills is a primary objective of this course. Emphasis is on clear, simple verbal communication and correct use of vocabulary.

    Class will be conducted in accordance with the various rules and requirements of the University.

  5. Assessment
    Evaluations will consist of one-on-one conversations with the Instructor. Each evaluation will last ten minutes and will be recorded for subsequent reevaluation if necessary. The instructor can provide extremely detailed feedback on evaluation performance for each student. Each student is strongly encourage to schedule a feedback session with the instructor after the evaluation period ends in order to take advantage of the very specific performance improvement points that the instructor can provide.
  6. Requiments
    This course was developed for basic speakers of English and students majoring in American Studies. Materials presented for practice conversation are selected so as to compliment learning about American culture and society. Instruction is entirely in English.
  7. Practical application of the course
    Students seeking to develop their ability to effectively communication via spoken English will find this course helpful. Focus is on the development of skills needed to produce clear and coherent spoken English of the type commonly encountered in day-to-day exchanges with native English speakers. The various listening and speaking skills developed in this course will enable students to progress to more sophisticated levels of speaking with additional training and guidance.
