도술, 검술, 창술, 봉술, 태극권, 합기도, 검도, 유도, 비전비법의 무술등 동양무술의 기본기법과 응용기술을 습득 하므로서 동양무술을 폭넓게 이해한다.
- Course Objectives
This course aims to teach practical and theoretical self-defense. Students will learn Hapkido techniques based upon the Korea Hapkido Federation’s testing requirements for first degree black belt. Techniques covered will include Hapkido striking, joint locks, and throws. These will be compared to Taekwondo self-defense as well as practical self-defense techniques. By the end of the semester, students will be expected to demonstrate self-defense techniques from wrist grabs, punches, and clothing grabs as well as other skills that includes basic Hapkido falling and kicking techniques.
- Teachnig Method
• Practice safely at all times. Loss of control may lead to serious injury to other students and expulsion.
• Maintain dojang (도장) etiquette and protocols at all times.
• Do not leave the dojang (도장) without permission.
• You must earn your grade. Therefore, never ask the professor for a higher grade. If you wish to receive a high grade, follow this syllabus, work hard, and earn one.
• Contact the instructor immediately if you have a problem. Remember, he is here to help.

- Practical application of the course
By comparing and contrasting Hapkido techniques and motions to those of Taekwondo, students will learn the difference between practical self-defense, combat sport, and martial artistry.
