THEORY OF NURSING PROCESS

  1. Course Description
    본 교과목은 성인학습의 원리를 이해하고, 비판적 사고능력과 임상 의사결정능력을 함양하며, 임상현장에서 대상자의 건강문제를 해결하기 위해 간호과정을 적용하는 과학적이고 체계적인 방법을 학습한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    Upon completion of the course, the RN-BSN students will be able to:
    1. Explain the concepts and principles of nursing process as a tool for critical thinking.
    2. Demonstrate critical thinking skills in addressing various case scenarios.
    3. Utilize the nursing process for client nursing care and management in various clinical
    and community setting scenarios
    4. Recognize and appreciate the utilization of evidence based-practices in dealing with nursing care and management scenarios across the lifespan
  3. Teachnig Method
    Throughout the semester, the RN-BSN students are expected to demonstrate the following:
    1. Punctuality at all times
    2. Proper Conduct and Behavior in and outside the classroom
    3. Acknowledgement and respect to one another's strengths and weaknesses
    4. Compliance to all the necessary requirements for the course such as Attendance to Cyber Lecture, submission of homework and other requirements

    The RN - BSN students are expected to: a. have strong foundation in the study of Human Anatomy and Physiology, Foundations of Nursing, Pathophysiology, Nutrition and Pharmacology for Nurses b. participate in classroom activities throughout the course. c. comply with the necessary requirements such as attainment of passing score for various paper and pencil test, timely submission of homework and attendance and compliance with listening and viewing of cyber lecture
  7. Practical application of the course
    The completion of this course will: 1. equip the RN-BSN students with enhanced knowledge and skills in addressing various nursing care situations 2. provide an opportunity for the RN - BSN students to utilize and apply critical thinking skills in addressing various case scenarios in clinical and community settings 3. promote enhancement and competence in dealing with nursing situations both in clinical and community settings
