ELEMENTARY ENGLISH CONVERSATION(I)

  1. Course Description
    기초적인 회화를 바탕으로 자신에 대한 소개와 일상생활에서 접하는 다양한 상황에 대한 설명을 영어로 표현하는 연습을 한다.
  2. Course Objectives
    Course Goals: Equipping students with practical, marketable language skills is a primary goal of this course. Emphasis is on clear, simple verbal communication and correct use of vocabulary. Successful students, at the end of the course, will be able to converse at the elementary level on a wide range of relevent, contemporary topics with other English speakers.

    This course will be conducted in accordance with established university rules and procedures.

    Examinations for the course consist of one-on-one interviews with the course instructor. These interviews are timed (10 minutes each) and recorded. The instructor will prepared an extremely detailed feedback report for each examination that students are encouraged to use in order to enhance their performance.
  6. Requiments
    Requirements for the Course: This course was developed for basic speakers of English and students majoring in American Studies. Materials presented for practice conversation are selected so as to compliment learning about American culture and society. Instruction is entirely in English.

    Practical Uses of This Course: Students seeking to further develop their ability to effectively communicate via spoken English will find this course helpful. Emphasis is on the development of the skills needed to produce short, clear and simple spoken English sentences of the type commonly encountered in day-to-day exchanges with native English speakers. The various listening and speaking skills developed in the course will enable students to progress to more sophisticated levels of speaking with additional training and practice.
